ABSTRACT

An interfering effect between an attenuated tobacco mosaic virus (TMV) strain (isolated from a tissue culture) and virulent (typical) strain of this virus distinctly manifests itself starting from an interval of 3 days between infection by these strains and reaches a maximum on the fifth day. The protective effect weakens with increasing interval between inoculation with the attenuated and virulent strains. More... »
