ABSTRACT

The present article presents the results of triboengineering tests of polycrystalline diamonds deposited chemically from the gaseous phase together with intermetallides of the Al-Ti system. The conditions are determined when the diamond wears intensively; these conditions appear due to the use of a metallic catalysis precursor as a counterbody. The study results are expected to contributed to the development of techniques for machining of diamonds of industrial dimensions. More... »
