Based on fundamental research of above-threshold-power laser radiation by C. Townes (laser beam splitting) and G. A. Askaryan (self-focusing and sublimation evaporation), a new highperformance technology for growing nanowhiskers of metal and their oxides, semiprecious crystals, and composite materials based on polycarbonate in open air is developed.
