ABSTRACTThe results of the investigations of a ceramic composite sintered from ZrO2-based powders produced by ultrasonic spray pyrolysis have been considered. The scratch tests and microcutting with a single diamond grain have been used to evaluate the strength and deformation properties of surface layers of the resultant composite.
