AUTHORS ABSTRACTChanges in the parameters of a solid solution of the α-phase of ferritic-martensitic steel subjected to uniaxial static tension at room temperature are studied. It is established that the release of substitutional alloying elements from the solid solution, accompanied by the formation of intermetallic phases at the boundaries of ferrite grains, lowers the lattice parameter of the α-phase and the quadratic mean total displacements during plastic deformation at the stage of neck formation.
