ABSTRACT

In this paper, the main landmarks of the international cooperation in the field of information communication technologies and the Information Society are considered. The process of preparing and holding the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) and its final acts adopted by consensus (Declaration of Principles and Action Plan adopted at the Geneva WSIS stage in December 2003, as well as the Tunis Commitment and the Tunis Agenda for the Information Society adopted at the Tunis WSIS stage on November 2005) are analyzed.
