ABSTRACTA model of the growth of a calcium phosphate coating on a zirconium substrate with respect to the formed oxide sublayer and formation of phases is proposed. The influence of the parameters of the model on the growth of the coating and the evolution of the stresses in the oxide layer and in the coating is investigated. It is shown that the content of the substances formed in the coating increases with the increasing constants of the reaction rates, increasing diffusion coefficients, or with a decreasing voltage of the process. It is shown that the stresses in the vicinity of the interface (the substrateoxide layer) are higher when there is an oxide layer than in its absence. More... »
