ABSTRACTThe purification of aqueous solutions containing, together with the salts of heavy metals (lead and copper), sodium and calcium salts are studied. It is shown that cleaning with the use of AK-2 cation-exchange resin leads to the removal of only sodium and calcium salts from the solution. Cleaning with sorbents based on crown ethers also does not provide the complete removal of heavy metal ions from solutions. Almost the complete removal of all salts from solutions is achieved using a two-stage purification: first, the solutions are passed through the AK-2 resin and then treated with sorbents based on crown ethers.
