ABSTRACT

Three Co(III) complexes with biguanide derivatives [Co(NH2C(=NH)NHC(=NH)NR1R2)3]Cl3 (R1R2 = Me2 (I), Et2 (II), and HsBu (III)) were obtained and characterized by elemental analysis, IR spectroscopy, and electronic absorption spectroscopy. Structure III was confirmed by X-ray diffraction (CIF file CCDC no. 1401783). Complexes I–III and [M(SC(NH2)2)4]Cl2 (M = Pd, Pt, and [Co(En)3]Cl3) were tested for in vitro antiviral activity against the A/California/07/09 (H1N1pdm09) influenza virus.
