ABSTRACT

We show that passage to a statistical description of stellar systems is possible when considering the evolution on time scales longer than \documentclass[12pt]{minimal} \usepackage{amsmath} \usepackage{wasysym} \usepackage{amsfonts} \usepackage{amssymb} \usepackage{amsbsy} \usepackage{mathrsfs} \usepackage{upgreek} \setlength{\oddsidemargin}{-69pt} \begin{document} $$\tau _m \approx \sqrt[5]{{\tau _d^4 \tau _c }}$$ \end{document}, where τd is the mean dynamical (Keplerian) time and τc is the two-particle collisional relaxation time.
