ABSTRACTThe study of Cyprinidae in the Novosibirsk Reservoir in periods of high, medium, and low water content demonstrated a high degree of dependence of the numbers of generations of aboriginal fish species on conditions of water level regulation in the spring period. A drastic water discharge via hydraulic structures leads to drying of spawning grounds and mass loss of eggs. The acclimatized species—bream Abramis brama—reproduces at deeper water sites of the water area, which determines its high numbers and domination in the structure of the fish community from the water body.
