ABSTRACTThe structure and texture have been studied in Fe-Si alloys subjected to cold rolling and annealings in ultra-high dc magnetic fields (to 20 T) at temperatures both higher and lower than the Curie point. It has been shown that the prerecrystallization annealing between the cold-rolling passes in strong magnetic fields leads to the retardation of the recovery processes and to an increase in the amount of structure components in the samples with the easy axis oriented along the field direction. Upon the subsequent primary recrystallization in the samples subjected to magnetic treatment, an increase is observed in the intensity of the {hkl}〈001〉 texture component and a decrease in the {111}〈uvw〉 component, as well as a slight increase in the average size of grains with increasing applied magnetic field.
