ABSTRACT

The laser-induced emission of carbon materials is studied experimentally. We observed broadband emission spectra in the visible region, as well as a red shift of the spectra of dispersed carbon materials with respect to the spectra of bulk polycrystalline graphite. All measured spectra are typical for incoherent dipole emission. The broadband emission is qualitatively explained by stimulated Raman scattering of photons. More... »
