ABSTRACT

The interaction of two localized optical states in a structure consisting of a system of two coupled vertical microcavities is studied. It is shown that the interaction of two localized optical modes in coupled microcavities cause the modes to split. The optical properties of a system of coupled microcavities and the dispersion relations for the characteristic optical modes of the system are analyzed. More... »
