ABSTRACT

USING the recently described method for the synthesis of oxytocin1, it was possible to prepare structural analogues of oxytocin by replacing the iso-leucyl group by valyl, leucyl or phenylalanyl groups. Of the series obtained, the valyl analogue of oxytocin (‘valyl-oxytocin’) was the most active and interesting substance.
