ABSTRACTThe optimum modes of thermomechanical treatment (TMT) are determined for alloy Ti – 50.7 at.% Ni (titanium nickelide, Nitinol) used in medicine for specific functional purposes. The developed modes of TMT have been used for creating a device based on the shape memory effect (SME) and the reversible shape memory effect (RSME), i.e., a self-actuating and easily removable “Crossbill” clip for urgent control of bleeding.
