ABSTRACT

Corrosion inhibition behaviour of Telmisartan for mild steel in 1 M HCl medium has investigated by using electrochemical methods such as polarization and electrochemical impedance techniques. The experimental results suggested that telmisartan is a suitable inhibitor. The inhibition efficiency increased with the inhibitor concentration. The adsorption of Telmisartan obeys Langmuir adsorption isotherm. The thermodynamic parameters such as − ∆Gads0, − ∆Hads0, − ∆Sads0 are evaluated. The effect of temperature is discussed by activation parameters. More... »
