ABSTRACT

La dysfonction diaphragmatique est l’une des conséquences néfastes de la ventilation mécanique (VM). Cette atteinte se caractérise par une faiblesse musculaire et induit des difficultés de sevrage ventilatoire. L’entraînement spécifique des muscles inspirateurs (EMI) apparaît donc comme une approche pertinente pour favoriser le sevrage de la VM. La littérature publiée récemment renforce l’intérêt de cette technique en réanimation, notamment chez les patients présentant une faiblesse musculaire inspiratoire et en échec de sevrage. L’EMI est cependant encore peu répandu, bien qu’il soit facile à mettre en oeuvre et qu’il ne nécessite que peu de matériel. More... »
