In France, while the rate of C-section is stabilizing at around 21 %, more often than not the partner is not allowed to enter the operating room, and is seldom allowed to assist the mother during the following hours. Cesarine association’s survey sheds light on significant disparities on this topic, leading to misunderstanding and added stress, thus degrading the experience of birth as a founding event for the family. The association provides testimonies supporting the evidence that the father’s presence both in the operating and recovery rooms is crucial in parental linking. More... »
