ABSTRACT

It is established that classes of autonomous 3-body and 4-body systems previously set down in the literature may be embedded in solvable, non-autonomous, multi-component Ermakov systems as originally derived in a multi-layer hydrodynamic context. The Ermakov connection is exploited, in particular, to construct integrable non-autonomous many-body type systems parametrised in terms of an arbitrary function J(y / x) where x, y are Jacobi variables.
