ABSTRACT

Based on molecular evidence and morphological studies, the new polypores Antrodia multiformis and A. tenerifensis are described. Both species were discovered in arid biotope, A. multiformis in southwestern USA and A. tenerifensis in Tenerife (Canary Islands). Both of the new species show unique morphological and cultural features and are different in phylogeny. The structure of the Antrodia core clade of brown rot polypores is discussed. More... »
