ABSTRACT

Humane Erkrankungen sind häufig mit Veränderungen im Mikrobiom assoziiert. Ziel der Arbeit war die Untersuchung des Beitrags des Mikrobioms zu Alterungskrankheiten und deren Therapie. Das Mikrobiom und seine Umgebung unterliegen umfangreichen Veränderungen im Rahmen der Alterung. In der Therapie von Alterungskrankheiten sind häufig Modulationen der Therapieantwort durch das Mikrobiom zu beobachten. Während Zusammenhänge zwischen Alterung und der Mikrobiomzusammensetzung beobachtet wurden, sind die molekularen Mechanismen, durch die das Mikrobiom die humane Alterung beeinflusst, noch wenig erforscht. Modellierungsansätze und neue Technologien stellen wichtige Methoden dar, um ein besseres Verständnis zur Rolle des Mikrobioms in der Alterung zu erzielen. More... »
