ABSTRACT

Results of an x-ray phase analysis and investigations into the structure and mechanical properties of aluminum-base alloys produced by shock-wave compaction are presented. The method under study makes it possible to obtain samples with density approaching the theoretical value and improved mechanical characteristics.
