ABSTRACT

The time-temperature superposition principle has been applied to predict accurately the long-term viscoelastic behavior of amorphous resin at a temperature below the glass transition temperature from measuring the short-term viscoelastic behavior at elevated temperatures. A simplified method for the determination of the long-term viscoelastic behavior of amorphous resin using dynamic mechanical analysis is proposed. The automatic horizontal and vertical shifting method is used to construct the smooth storage modulus master curve, and then the accurate time-temperature shift factors can be obtained. The validity of our simplified determination method is confirmed experimentally. More... »
