ABSTRACT

Results of an experimental study of the morphology and nanostructure of alloys formed due to irradiation of a nickel surface with a gold film by nanosecond laser pulses are presented. The effect of a layer of water transparent for the laser irradiation on the thickness and on the condition of the structure of the alloys obtained on the surface of Au – Ni alloys is determined. Thermal fields are computed for various boundary conditions and used for explaining the growth in the efficiency of the introduction of gold and the growth in the sizes of nanocrystallites in the formed multilayer nonequilibrium Au – Ni alloys in the case of irradiation through a layer of water.
