ABSTRACT

Using the first-order shear-deformation theory of shells and the Galerkin and Runge–Kutta methods, the nonlinear dynamic behavior and the natural frequencies of porous graphene platelet-reinforced composite sandwich shallow spherical shells supported by an elastic foundation are studied. The modified Halpin–Tsai model and the rule of mixtures are used to establish the effective properties of the material. Formulas related to porosity distributions and graphene platelet patterns are also presented in the analysis section. More... »
