AUTHORS ABSTRACTA description is given of a nodal method of characteristics, designed for integrating hyperbolic systems, based on splitting the initial system of equations into a number of one-dimensional subsystems, with the one-dimensional nodal method of characteristics being used for their calculation. The calculating formulas of the method are cited. A number of flat and three-dimensional test problems have been calculated using this method. The results of calculations have been compared with the existing self-similar solutions. More... »
