ABSTRACT

It is shown that the probability of quenching the excited electronic state of complex molecules, which is obtained from the vapor fluorescence depolarization, is averaged over the configurations of collisions with the quencher molecules with a collisional chaotization weight factor, i.e., it is transformed by this factor. The conditions under which this probability is close to the conventional one averaged only over the configurations of collisions are discussed. More... »
