ABSTRACT

IR spectroscopy, the calculated sorption coefficient for the reaction of viscose fiber with fire retardant, and the determined oxygen index of the modified fibers that characterized the flammability of the material were used to study the reaction of the fiber with dimethylmethylphosphonate derivatives. It was shown that the fiber reacted chemically with the fire retardant. It was found that adding metazine to the modification bath increased the fire-protection effect on the fiber. More... »
