ABSTRACTChenisterol (1), a new steroid, has been isolated from the EtOAc soluble subfraction of Chenopodium badachschanicum Tzvelev, along with ergosterol (2), stigmasterol (3), fucosterol (4), morin (5), sinapic acid (6), and thymol (7), reported for the first time from this species. Their structures were elucidated with the help of spectroscopic techniques including 2D NMR.
