ABSTRACTA practical and scalable scheme for the synthesis of 5-(4-aminofurazan-3-yl)-1-hydroxytetrazole was developed, starting from 4-aminofurazan-3-carboxylic acid amidoxime. New methods were proposed for the synthesis of 1-hydroxy-5-(4-nitrofurazan-3-yl)-tetrazole and 5-(4-azidofurazan-3-yl)-1-hydroxytetrazole.
