ABSTRACT

A scheme for layer-by-layer molding of composition materials using a pressing tool is examined for the production of cylindrical articles (pressings). A characteristic compression curve of a free-flowing material is presented. The variation in the dilatational strain of the powder due to the molding pressure is analyzed. The problem involving determination of the stress distribution and densities of free-flowing materials on the basis of the volume of a pressing consisting of n layers is solved analytically. Computational diagrams of the molding and equations for determination of the height of the pressing are given. More... »
