ABSTRACTDamit die Versorgung verletzter Personen ein Höchstmaß an Effektivität gewährleisten kann, bedarf es einer Identifikation derjenigen Patienten, die aufgrund ihrer Verletzungsschwere und -art der Behandlung in speziellen Zentren bedürfen. Um hier eine sofortige, schnelle und prioritätenorientierte klinische Behandlung einzuleiten und um das Leben des Patienten zu retten sowie vermeidbare Komplikationen und Dauerschäden verhindern zu können, muss insbesondere dem Rettungsdienst die Möglichkeit gegeben werden, die adäquate – d. h. eine der Schwere und Art der Verletzung angepasste – Zielklinik auszuwählen.
