ABSTRACT

Let G be a graph embedded in a surface of nonnegative characteristic with maximum degree Δ. The entire chromatic number χvef of G is the least number of colors such that any two adjacent or incident elements in V(G)∪E(G)∪F(G) have different colors. In this paper, we prove that χvef(G)≤Δ+4 if Δ≥6, and χvef(G)≤Δ+5 if Δ≤5. More... »
