ABSTRACT

Der technische Fortschritt ermöglicht es in zunehmendem Maße, Sensoren, Prozessoren, drahtlose Kommunikationseinheiten und autarke Energiequellen in so genannten Sensorknoten auf kleinstem Raum zu integrieren. Netze aus vielen solchen Knoten gestatten die weiträumige Beobachtung von Phänomenen der realen Welt mit großer Genauigkeit, ohne dabei die physischen Prozesse wesentlich zu beeinflussen.
