ABSTRACTWe present a 29-year-old professional wrestler who sustained a traumatic latissimus dorsi tendon rupture from its humeral insertion. To our knowledge, this report is the first to describe the use of two small anterior axillary incisions to repair a traumatic avulsion of the latissimus dorsi. Our new surgical approach is an alternative treatment for highly competitive, muscular athletes, while taking the associated nerves and cosmetic appearance into consideration. More... »
