ABSTRACTDislocation of the sternoclavicular joint is an uncommon injury. Especially posterior dislocations with potentially life-threatening complications present a challenging situation for the treating surgeon regarding diagnosis and therapy. Reduction and fixation of the joint is the treatment of choice.
