ABSTRACT

The interpretation of the equilibrium mechanical properties of polyurethane model networks in the large elongation region has been performed within a theory of tube-like topological constraints. This theory describes the small-strain properties as well as the large-strain properties of the networks in terms of the number of elastically active network chains (EANCs) and structural features contained in the structural parameters Te (trapping factor) and ws (sol content).
