ABSTRACT

The blocking patterns around the 〈110〉 axis of a Si single crystal have been measured for the products of the reaction16O(100 MeV)+28Si atθlab=30° withZ from 8 to 13. The experimental set-up and data reduction method are described. Preliminary results show that the method is suitable to measure nuclear time delays in heavy-ion reactions and indicate that the fissionlike fragments (Z=11, 12, 13) are emitted in a very long-lived process.
