The corrosion rate of iron in 1 M H2SO4 with 0.25 M NaCl in the presence of mixtures ofo-hydroxyazomethine derivatives was studied. When the overall concentration of components is constant, the inhibition factor is a linear semilogarithmic function of the sum of the partial polarities of substituents in the compounds under study.
