ABSTRACT

The effect of heat treatment on the dimensions of globules and crystallites in alumina, titania, and alumina-titania gels is examined. The properties of the alumina-titania materials calcined in air at temperatures up to 900‡C are shown to be dependent on the thermal behaviors of the two constituent oxides.
