ABSTRACT

The cross-sections for the inelastic and elastic scattering of pions on12C are calculated in terms of amplitudes for the scattering on a singled-out nucleon and on remaining nucleons in the nucleus. The results are compared with the cross-sections measured at 800MeV/c.
