ABSTRACT

The low-lying48V states have been investigated by means of on-beam γ-ray spectroscopy with heavy ions. The reactions40Ca(10B, 2p)48V and40Ca(12C, 3pn)48V have been studied at several bombarding energies. Measurements of γ-γ and p-γ coincidences, γ-ray angular distributions and lifetimes with the recoil-distance method allowed several spin-parity assignments for levels up to ∼1.5 MeV. Some negative-parity states as well as high-spin positive-parity states have been identified. More... »
