ABSTRACT

New data for π±p and K±p are compared with those observed for pp interactions in terms of average charged multiplicity 〈n〉 and KNO scaling. The dependence of 〈n〉 and of charged-multiplicity distributions on the nature of the incident particle is studied. Some new approaches are proposed to take more directly into account the different behaviour of the diffractive component in the multiparticle production. More... »

The dependence of 〈n〉 and of charged-multiplicity distributions on the nature of the incident particle is studied. Some new approaches are proposed to take more directly into account the different behaviour of the diffractive component in the multiparticle production.
