ABSTRACT

A new method of determining the amplitudes of scattering of a plane electromagnetic wave incident at an angle a onto an arbitrary, isotropic, one-dimensionally inhomogeneous medium of finite thickness is developed. It is shown that this problem reduces to a Cauchy problem for a system of two first-order, linear differential equations. More... »
