ABSTRACT

Experimentally an excellent correlation between dp/dt max as an index of myocardial contractility and the B-wave of the derivated impedance rheogram has been found. The distance between the Q-wave of the ECG and the dp/dt max of the left ventricle has been shown to be a feasable parameter of the myocardial contractility of the left ventricle. It seems to be possible in the future to measure this index of myocardial contractility in a simple and noninvasive way by impedance rheography. More... »
