ABSTRACT

The mechanism of biological membrane fusion was studied with the use of a fluorescent dye, R18. It was shown that ATP-induced membrane fusion is supporessed by calcium/calmodulin-dependent protein kinase inhibitors. L protein changed the character of fusion of different types of membranes.
