AUTHORSR. N. Hills, P. H. Roberts
ABSTRACTThis paper deals with the modelling of solidifying two-phase alloys and is primarily concerned with aspects of phase conversion. It briefly reviews existing theories and shows, by considering mass conservation and dissipation, how modelling proceeds when there is a clearly identifiable dominant rate process associated with the phase change.
