ABSTRACT

Temperature spectra for time series spanning 23 days in June–July 1970 were computed at different levels of two 50 m high instrumented towers. One tower was located in a 450 m diameter clearing and the other in a forest, 500 m away. The spectra for both cases exhibit significant diurnal and semidiurnal peaks. An attempt is made to explain the semidiurnal peak in terms of the topographical features of the surrounding environment. More... »
