A composite material developed in the Si3N4-BN system is characterized by the possibility of control over the properties of the ceramics by changing the ratio of BN and Si3N4. Since the range of the properties of the initial components is very wide and they can give unique combinations of properties, the material is usable in the aircraft, glass, machine-building, and other industries.
